The Cretaceous is the era most people picture when they think “dinosaur.” Flowers appeared for the first time, and the cast of characters became spectacular: the mighty Tyrannosaurus, the three-horned Triceratops, the armored Ankylosaurus, and the clever Velociraptor. It ended with the asteroid.
